Midland Radio Corporation is a leader in wireless two-way and weather/hazard alert radios. They offer both commercial grade land mobile radios as well as consumer grade radios. Midland CB radios are available in both mobile and hand-held varieties.
Midland's mobile CB radios are basic and affordable for every driver. Midland CBs install easily in cars, trucks or RVs. They are 40 channel units that will mount in virtually any vehicle. They include ETR frequency control for precision channel tuning. A dual conversion superheterodyne receiver gives better sound. A fulltime auto noise limiter helps eliminate vehicle background noise. Midland CB units mount using a quick disconnect mounting bracket so they can be transferred easily from one vehicle to another. Magnetic and window mount antennas are available as accessories separately purchased. A deluxe 15 watt speaker is also available as an added accessory. One model features instant emergency channel 9 access. Microphones are sold separately and not included in the CB package.
Handheld Midland CBs are available in two models, the 75-785 and the 75-822. The 75-785 is an economical handheld unit with 7 watts input and an FCC maximum-allowable 4 watts output. It is 33% smaller than their previous model. This unit features automatic noise and gain control and a bright LED channel display. A battery save circuit reduces battery drain. It can be charged with an included 12V DC lighter socket. It has a flexible antenna.
